Vanity Fair exlploiting a minor

As you know, I am an art photographer who takes artistic nude and semi-nude photographs. All my subjects are at least 18 years of age, have presented me with a photo id and signed a model release. I have NEVER taken or have even thought about taking an exploitive photograph of a child in my over 20 year career. I have been shooting for over 20 years and have respected the photography of Annie Leibovitz as long as I can remember, but I think her notoriety has affected her judgment. The photography she recently shot of Miley Cyrus for Vanity Fair Magazine is in very poor taste. If any other photographer would have photographed a 15 year old in this manner they would be out of business in minutes and probably brought up on child pornography charges. But since she is the photographer to the stars she can get away with this. I do believe the image is artistic in nature but it is lacking any good judgment. Both Leibovitz and Vanity Fair are exploiting this young girl for money pure and simple. To say that it was shot digital and her handlers were on the set is their way of saying, she could have said No. But if you say no to Vanity Fair or Annie Leibovitz, you better kiss your career goodbye.

I am ashamed that they stooped as low as this and hope the young lady's reputation isn't ruined because of a photographer's ego.
